Why no blog..Tantrums

Me:I haven't been able to blog as I was unable to access the site for several days.The computer has gone bonkers again.

Yasmin has been throwing tantrums here and there.Refused to wear her clothes.Plays with drawers and mess up the whole contents.Throws her bowl till it broke to two.Picking up any stuff and putting them in the mouth.Well....what can I say.Patience.Afterall, this IS a NORMAL development in a child.It has thought me a lot of lessons too.

Actually,Yasmin has thought me to examine my life. It has changed my life .But it feels good.

What am I learning from her tantrums?Well, I've learnt to examine those emotions and react in a more positive light.Afterall, how much can a 13mth comprehend from your verbal warnings? I might just tire myself out explaining to her.A few methods that help me manage:Warn(the undesired behaviour),Ignore(the more fanfare I make the more interested she'll be)and finally Remove her from undesired situations(you don't want her to be there.Then pick her up and put her somewhere else with much distraction).

Hmmm...try it out...it works.....but with much patience and love please..

About eating: Yasmin has been trying out finger food.I gave her some cereals for her to play and eat.And she loved it.It was a mess but it was a success.Now she wants to snatch her spoon when I feed her.Looking forward when she can feeds herself.Anyway, she has 8 teeth now!She gives quite a bite if you let her(which in any case is not a bright idea).

About reading: She loves to look at books and have me or papa reading to her.Thank God that she loves reading.Why?Not that she is going to be academically smarter or anything.But because I love it too.That's one hobby Yasmin can share with me.

About her hair: It hasn't grown that much.But what the heck.It will grow despite many advise to put what-nots on her hair.I don't really wish to waste my brain cells thinking about that aspect.
