Yasmin @ 18mths
Yasmin could be your typically girl at times.Loves clothes and mirrors. She'll be delighted on seeing new clothes and checking them out in the mirror when permitted.
She's beginning to take autonomy when dressing up too.Loves to put on the clothes by herself. But of course, mama has to help too.
She loves wearing her pants/skirts.She'll put one leg at a time and go..."UP".And she stands to pull it up.Pretty cute I must say.
Thankfully, she's got her great big appetite again.I get worried when she just wants to nurse at times. At the back of my head,I know she's getting a lot of nutrients from breastmilk alone. But hey,I need to get her face to be "fatten up" if I want people to be convinced that she's eating right. But then again,I think I should go with my heart.Heck what they say.
When Yasmin eats,I feel all the pressure just simply goes away. But healthy food of course. She loves fruit, nuts(close observation though coz it's a choking hazard),chicken porridge, chicken, peas, corns, baby carrots....I'm guessing anything just as long she gets to mess them up.Another cool thing is that she can ask for food. She'll go into the kitchen and says,"mam".Beats me asking and trying to shove food in her mouth anytime. And she loves soup.Just like me!
She's imitating well too.A funny example:She'll pretend to throw out her crayon but hides it behind her back and tells us "no more".We used to do that to her when she takes our stuffs. And when I'm reading, usually she'll take her book as well. She loves it when I tell her the names of things in the book when she points.I think she's trying to learn to say "shampoo".She's mastered the word "soap".
Talking about soap.My Yasmin knows how to soap herself. Not too well but enough for me.Put some soap in her hands when bathing, and she'll try to soap herself. My baby's growing fast.
I'm trying to introduce her to nursery rhymes but she's just not interested. So I just let her play my organ.I don't know if she's musically inclined but she knows how to create a din alright.
I think that she's nearly ready to be potty train. She's begining to tell me when she needs to poo.Sometimes she'll fart and goes "yak...yak" mistaken it for a poo.I so love to not have her wear her diapers soon.Hmmmm....time to read up on potty-training?
